We are deeply grateful to everyone who took the time to share their voice and help shape our priorities as we build next school year’s budget.
Your participation—through feedback, conversations, and thoughtful reflection—ensures that this process reflects the needs, values, and aspirations of our KCPS community. Budgeting is about more than numbers; it is about people, and your input helps us make decisions that better support our students, staff, and families.
In order to continue aligning KCPS budget priorities in coordination with our community, please consider joining us for a Public Budget Hearing:
• May 27 at 6 p.m.
• Board of Education building, 2901 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO

Thank you to the educators, families, and students involved in the KCPS early learning program! The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has designated the program as “Exhibiting High Quality," an honor signifying the highest quality Pre-K classrooms in the state. This would not be possible without the hard work and collaboration of our entire Pre-K community!

"To our beloved Hale Cook teaching team Julie Broockerd & Endea Mutcherson, you earned the highest Missouri DESE Quality Assurance Report designation of Exhibiting High Quality! This recognition reflects your dedication, expertise, and the strong learning environment you create every day. Your work strengthens KCPS as a whole, and your impact is felt well beyond Hale Cook! The state sees it; our community sees it, and we deeply appreciate the excellence you bring to our district. Thank you for representing KCPS with such distinction and for making a meaningful difference for our students and families."
